Description

This white deluxe cap (toque) is intended for the 31st degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite (AASR). It is a piece of ceremonial dress, offered in size 59 or 62.

Wearing a hat in lodge dates back to the 18th century, when it was associated with wearing a sword, two signs of nobility. The cap, originally everyday headwear, takes on a particular meaning in the higher degrees such as the 31st degree.
