Prefect Soft White Cap - STO

This soft white cap (toque) is intended for the Prefects of the Inner Order of the Strict Templar Observance (Stricte Observance Templière, SOT). It is made of cashmere and wool, embroidered by hand and decorated with a red Cross of Lorraine.

Masters wearing a hat during lodge work dates back to the 18th century, when it was associated with wearing a sword. The old rituals did not describe the type of hat; only certain higher degrees prescribed ritual headwear, as is the case for the Prefects of the SOT. It is offered in sizes 54 to 62.
