This collar (sautoir) is that of the Brother Guard (Frère Garde), in the Rectified Scottish Rite (Régime Écossais Rectifié, RER). It is made of sky-blue natural silk and adorned with the emblem of the office embroidered in gold, by hand. The back is lined; you choose a sky-blue back or a black back with a funeral print, as well as the version with or without a jewel.

If you choose it with a jewel, this is the jewel of the Brother Guard (Frère Garde): it protects the Initiate in the meeting against whatever might distract him from Masonic work. It is made of bronze, a copper alloy. It weighs 35 g and measures 4 × 12.5 cm.
