Masonic regalia (aprons, collars, baldrics)
Masonic regalia — aprons, collars, baldrics and sashes for all rites
Masonic regalia refers to all ritual clothing and ornaments worn by members of a lodge during meetings: aprons, collars, baldrics, sashes, gloves, and jewels. They form the visual identity of the Brother or Sister in the lodge, indicate their degree and obedience, and contribute to the solemn and symbolic dimension of Masonic ceremonies. Nos Colonnes is your benchmark Masonic shop for all of these regalia items.
Masonic collars and baldrics
The Masonic collar is the sash worn across from the shoulder to the hip, from which the jewel of the Officer or degree is suspended. The baldric, worn as a belt from the shoulder to the opposite hip, is specific to certain degrees and rites. Colours and ornaments vary:
- AASR — white sash bordered with black for the Entered Apprentice, red sash for the 18th degree, black and white sashes for the Kadosh
- French Rite — crimson collar embroidered in gold for Master Masons, green collar for the 4th degree
- RSR — red and white collar with St Andrew's cross for the Stricte Observance
- Memphis-Misraim — sashes in the 97 graded colours of the Oriental Rite
