This apron is a replica of Meriwether Lewis’s first Masonic apron, from the late 18th century. Explorer, botanist and officer, Meriwether Lewis (1774-1809) was the private secretary of President Thomas Jefferson; he was initiated in 1796. Two Masonic aprons that belonged to him still exist today. This replica is made on genuine lambskin.
