Use in lodge

The Square and Compasses are placed on the Worshipful Master’s pedestal during meetings. They are used during reception ceremonies, whatever the degree to which the candidate is received. Their size, 10 × 10 cm for the square and 14 cm for the compasses, suits a lodge pedestal. The gilded metal gives them the lustre expected of a ceremonial object.
