This collar (sautoir) is that of a Provincial Officer, for the Royal Ark Mariners (Nautoniers de l’Arche Royale), in the French style. It is made of rainbow-coloured cotton, with a gold keystone (bossoir) set on a tricolour rosette, with gold edging. The burgundy back is lined. It follows GLNF usage.
