Jesus or the Law of Love fulfilled
Freemasonry - eBook Edition
Author : JC Mondet
This work tells, apart from any religious interpretation, the story of a little Galilean peasant from the beginning of our era, superiorly gifted in terms of intellect as well as feelings and convinced of a divine presence in him. Without seeking an impossible historical truth, it fits into the very particular context of the time, as close as possible to the Gospels without however depriving itself of extrapolating when they are imprecise, while remaining plausible.
Miracles are seen as allegories, presenting by analogies, just as parables do, abstract ideas for which listeners were not prepared. There is however one exception, the resurrection, over which the text leaves room for doubt because we are then in the intimate domain of Faith.
The actions and words of Jesus are expressed as clearly as possible to the author's understanding, and their meaning is clarified by the disciples or additional characters. There are also a large number of footnotes providing information on current knowledge and opinions.
This work reveals a very human Jesus, gradually penetrating himself with a mission that he thought divine and perhaps was, then walking freely towards an atrocious death in order to give full meaning to his life and his lyrics. This endearing figure and his impressive message of love should thus be widely accepted by Christians of all stripes, as well as by agnostics and even atheists and followers of other religions.
