This is the jewel of the Tyler (Couvreur, or Tuileur) in the Groussier French Rite (Rite Français Groussier, RFG). The officer who wears it protects the Initiate in the meeting from anything that might distract him from the Masonic work. It is made of gold-tone bronze.
