Ma Franc-maçonnerie mise à nu... pour les profanes
Freemasonry (in French) – Éditions L’O.L.
Author: Franck Fouqueray
How to become a Freemason? Why become a Freemason? Masonic books are generally written by pro-Masons to sacralise their Art, or by anti-Masons to demonise it and denounce its excesses. This book brings together the two sides of the same mysterious coin. Future Masons looking for information, as well as experienced Masons, will find answers to the many questions everyone asks about this rather discreet initiatory path.
About the author
He began his career in martial arts (judo, karate, Chinese boxing), collecting cups and medals, then teaching professionally. He then turned to setting up businesses in the early 1980s: he founded Troc-Temps, the forerunner of the first “Local Exchange Trading System” in France, then the Caisse de Transactions, a moneyless bank based on reciprocal purchases between members, which became Reciprok in 2014. In 1994 he left for Canada and was among the pioneers of the Internet (he developed the first French-language online travel sales portal, Inter-Resa). He created his start-up, which he later developed in New York, and returned to France in 2001.
He first applied to join Freemasonry at the Grande Loge de France in 1988; the application was deferred. He persisted and was initiated at the beginning of this century in Casablanca, at the Grand Lodge of the Kingdom of Morocco. His lodge soon disappeared. He then joined a micro-obedience, in which he first became Worshipful Master in the REAA, then a more “conventional” obedience. He is currently serving his third term as Worshipful Master of a lodge of the Grande Loge Mixte de France (GLMF) in Paris.
He is also the founder of the Masonic social network “On Va Rentrer”, which brings together several thousand Brethren and Sisters, and the creator of the first Masonic humour festival in Paris. Since 2017 he has chaired the Fraternal of Masonic writers.
