Masonic symbolism: the cabinet of reflection

Freemasonry book: from operational to speculative

Freemason (French) SHEKINAH-EDITIONS - June 13, 2017

Author: Rabi Zied-Odnil

The Cabinet of Reflection represents a condensed stage of the Masonic initiatory path, so it is more difficult to decipher than the initiation ceremony, because the abstractions present inside are larger.

Most are content to push open doors, not caring to understand how they have been. Others are content to repeat, as Lapalisse would say, that salt is salty and sugar is sweet, without ever putting their lips to confirm it. All Latin countries use the same alphabet, yet none can understand the other without the common language; the same goes for Masonic symbolic language.

Freemasonry uses a writing board that is specific to it, so we have no choice but to adopt it, if we want to understand what it has to say to us.

Authors biography

The author entered Freemasonry in 2002 and worked at various rites in various denominations. Before being a speculative mason, he was an operational mason.
